The Music Room

With windows opening onto a balcony and recesses flanked by Corinthian columns, the music room is the wonderful venue for meetings, press briefings or formal dinners.

The naming of this space has roots leading
back to the early days of Lancaster House.
Throughout the 19th century, when the
residence was owned by the Sutherland
family, few leading musicians came to
London without appearing at one of their
evening parties, hosted in this room.
Frédéric Chopin played here for Queen
Victoria and Prince Albert in 1848.
