Stagecoach Long Service Awards at the London Transport Museum

For five years, Moving Venue have catered the Stagecoach Long Service Awards at the iconic London Transport Museum. Each year, the event celebrates Stagecoach employees reaching career milestones, in the hub of transport history.

In September, Moving Venue were delighted to have catered the Stagecoach Long Service Awards at the London Transport Museum, marking the 5th year we’ve catered for this iconic event.

For an awards ceremony celebrating the longest-standing employees of Stagecoach, there can be no better venue than the London Transport Museum. In the heart of Covent Garden, with over 200 years of history and stories to tell, the London Transport Museum is the perfect setting for the black-tie dinner.

Each year, the Stagecoach team set a unique theme for the event, and the team at Moving Venue love to get creative and build bespoke table centres. With previous themes including musical sensations and classic TV shows set in London, the theme for this year’s event was ‘Iconic London Roads’. The whole team pull together some initial ideas, and then the building gets to work! From a theatre-themed frenzy for ‘Shaftsbury Avenue’, to a Sherlock Holmes-inspired setting for ‘Baker Street’, or an antique market for ‘Portobello Road’, no two tables look the same!

Guests enjoy a delightful canapé reception on the Mezzanine, drinking wonderfully curated cocktails to match the event’s theme (such as ‘the series finale’) while overlooking the dinner space and admiring the bespoke table theming below. Once guests have found their seats, they enjoy a delicious three-course dinner surrounded by classic red London buses, before the awards commence. It’s always a delight to watch the celebrations, in such a classic venue dedicated to the long-standing history of transport within Britain!
