Harold Benjamin's 70th Anniversary at Somerset House

A Summer soirée at Somerset House

In September, Moving Venue were thrilled to cater for the 70th Anniversary of Harold Benjamin, held on the beautiful River Terrace at Somerset House – a perfect space for an evening summer soirée.

Working alongside Velvet Living and Velvet Entertainment, the River Terrace was transformed with soft seating, mirror bars and decadent food stations.

350 guests were treated to a cocktail and champagne welcome reception, featuring a Lychee and Rose Martini, as well as a classic Old Fashioned.

The Food

We also served some of our most popular food stations including our tasty Taco Bar, and a delightful dessert station:

Griddled flour tortillas served with a choice of fillings:

Roast aubergine taco, salsa macha, pickled chillies (vg)
Lime-grilled chicken fillets with crunchy slaw, chilli taco sauce
Chipotle, orange and soy marinated short rib, avocado puree, pickled onions, jalapeno mojo

Served with jalapenos, sour cream and grated cheese.

Banana foster; banana pâte de fruits, whipped banana cremeux, vanilla caramel, crunch

Tropical pavlova; coconut and passion fruit mousse, coconut curls (vg)

Lemon cheesecake, lemon gel, lemon balm

Mango and guava coulis, taco, fresh apricot
