Last month, Moving Venue were delighted to provide the catering and event management for the Springboard Excellence Awards at one of our exclusive venues, Illuminate in the Science Museum as part of Smart Group’s multi-year sponsorship deal with this special charity.
The Springboard Awards for Excellence are an annual celebration of our finest hospitality individuals and business peers, recognising and rewarding their hard work, innovation and dedication to the industry across sixteen categories.
Some of the biggest names in hospitality are rewarded in recognition of their outstanding work developing their talent and promoting the industry in the previous year.
This year’s event was a spectacular one hosted by Ade Adepitan MBE, who shared his inspiring story and moved the room. With a backdrop of the panoramic views of London, punctuated by some of our best-loved Spring Summer dishes with sponsored ingredients from some key suppliers, it was truly a night to remember and one we are very proud to have supported.

We are delighted to work closely with Springboard who provide crucial support to the hospitality industry and those seeking employment within it. Smart Group recently joined Springboards employability programme, ‘Skill Up, Step Up’ which aims to help those aged 16-24 years old who are looking to kickstart a career in the industry.
Smart Group will offer industry experience days to the participants who are undertaking the employability skill training. It is an opportunity to experience the fantastic world of events first-hand. Smart Group’s employees have signed up to Springboard’s Ambassador programme to promote hospitality as a rewarding and exciting career option for those who are entering the world of work or choosing a different career path. The Ambassador programme allows our employees to “give back” and share their experience and inspire the new generation of hospitality professionals.
