In November 2024, Davis Polk & Wardwell hosted an elegant reception for 150 guests in the stunning Seamen’s Hall at Somerset House. Nestled in the heart of London, this iconic venue provided the perfect backdrop, combining its neoclassical grandeur with breathtaking views of the River Thames.

Upon arrival, drinks were served with impeccable timing, setting the tone for the evening. The atmosphere was further elevated by thoughtful design touches, including warm lighting, elegant floral arrangements, and seamless AV, transforming the space into a sophisticated yet inviting setting.

Guests enjoyed a selection of canapés, including Singaporean spiced chicken served in a sesame seed cone with mint, chilli, and cucumber salsa, and sage and apricot stuffing Yorkshire pudding with Marmite mayo—a playful twist on a British classic.

Opening slightly later, the charcuterie station added an interactive and indulgent element to the event, featuring premium cured meats, artisanal cheeses, fresh breads, and a variety of accompaniments. This station encouraged mingling and provided a luxurious yet relaxed dining option for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.
