We are currently in the midst of a busy wedding season here at Moving Venue, catering at English Heritage, Historical Royal Palaces and Grade 1 listed buildings in London. We began July in style with canapés, dinner, a late night Hog Roast and bowl food for 300 at Hedsor House, in partnership with Smart Hospitality and Smart Live. Canapés included lamb shoulder croquettes with tomato and aubergine relish, white onion arancini floating on wheatgrass and tempura king prawns with seaweed salt and sweet chilli dipping sauce.
The following weekend’s wedding was for 150 guests at Hampton Court Palace, with canapés, dinner and late night snacks. Our couple opted for a dessert station, featuring Pimms jelly with mint foam and seasonal fresh fruit, Gateau Opera, pink and purple chocolate truffle lollipops with popping candy and a mango and passionfruit Eton Mess.

Last Saturday’s wedding at Chiswick House certainly kept our chefs busy in the kitchen. Following canapés, bowl food and jelly shots, 120 guests were treated to a choice menu, one of the options for which is below:
Cold smoked salmon, radish, caper, dill mascarpone, cornichon and silverskin onion on potato blini, with poached egg and avruga caviar
Trio of lamb – mint pesto braised lamb shoulder, lamb cutlet and lamb tortellini served with wilted spinach, heritage carrots and pea veloute
Confit apple pain de gene with dulce de leche sauce, ginger mousse and green apple sorbet
