Moving Venue cater for the prestigious Financial Adviser Service Awards

Last night, Moving Venue was thrilled to cater for the prestigious Financial Adviser Service Awards 2016, hosted by the Financial Times at the Natural History Museum in south Kensington, London.

Following ratings submitted by over 5,000 financial advisers on the companies they do business with, the Financial Adviser Service Awards 2016 allows professionals to have their say on those who provide excellent service, and those that don’t. Top performers are awarded a coveted five stars for service – with runners-up achieving from four stars down to one. In the spirit of ensuring the awards remain an independent and critical measure of the best performers, the Financial Adviser Service Awards do not shy away from awarding zero stars to those who received the littlest support.

Guests were greeted at a drinks reception in the Natural History Museum’s Waterhouse Way, drinking Prosecco and flavoured elderflower pressés in a spectacular hall surrounded by fossils of prehistoric sea creatures. After being welcomed for dinner, guests were seated and French wines poured. The eclectic and adventurous menu was designed especially for the event by Moving Venue Head Chef, Simon Packer: red snapper with BBQ sweetcorn and turmeric sauce; followed by a Massaman braised-goat curry with saag paneer and a spiced jus; finished off with kirsch-poached Morello cherries, with chocolate, crispy yoghurt, and lemon sorbet. With an equally stunning vegetarian option including sweetcorn croquettes with baby heritage radishes, red pepper purée, mustard seed caviar, and tarragon dressing; and a vegetable Massaman curry with crispy tofu, sweet potato, green beans and red pepper.

After dinner followed speeches, a light-show, and an exhilarating performance from London-based street dance group, Diversity. Since their win against bookies-favourite Susan Boyle in the 2009 final of Britain’s Got Talent Diversity haven’t stopped touring, and thrilled the guests last night with their trademark polished and highly-choreographed moves. Then it was down to the serious business of rewarding those companies who have impressed their clients this year.

Curious as to who won five-star ratings in 2016? The results of the Financial Adviser Service Awards 2016, including Company of the Year 2016, for the three main categories, Life and Pensions, Investments and Mortgages are available here:
