Each year, twelve crews and twelve 70-foot ocean racing yachts take part in a record-breaking 40,000 nautical mile race around the world known as the Clipper Round the World Race, with end of race celebrations taking place in London.
On Friday 29th July, we provided canapés and bowl food for 150 at an evening reception in Durbar Court at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Canapés included roast lamb with creamed leeks and deep-fried rosemary, whilst bowls included poached Scottish salmon with samphire and lemon cress salad, quail egg, keta caviar and ‘sauce verte’.
The following day the team were in Devon House Courtyard at St Katherine’s Dock serving brunch for 150, followed by a lunch of bowl food at Centre Basin Pontoon. Dishes included shredded crispy duck with iceberg lettuce, cucumber, spring onion and hoisin sauce; roasted sea bream, crayfish and preserved lemon risotto with salsa verde; and Texan spiced beef short rib, roast potato and vegetable cake, chipotle hollandaise and coriander salad.
