On the 26th January (Australia Day!) we were delighted to work with Qantas Airlines at their very special Australia Day dinner. Guests were seated at tables named after some of Australia's most iconic people, places and vocabulary such as Fred Hollows, Great Ocean Road and Jumbuck to enjoy a bespoke menu of classic Aussie dishes, with a twist, curated by our Executive Chef David Ridgway:
Barbecued shrimp salad with avocado tartare, peanut and sesame brittle, sea vegetables
Breast of Duck, sticky rosemary vegemite fondant, walnut roasted tender stem, carrot cream, mustard, shitake mushrooms
Home-made Lamingtons filled with coconut cream, rolled in toasted coconut, Anzac biscuits served with salted chocolate sauce
Landing Forty Two was the perfect home for this event, as the client was able to bring event to life theming the space with vinyl's on the windows, a Qantas orange bar and branded aprons. The evening hosted by Australian comedian, Adam Hill was a huge success and we were thrilled to be able to celebrate Australia Day in such style.
