The past five days have been busy at Kensington Palace, with canapés and dinners for four separate events in both the State Apartments and the Orangery.
Last Thursday our team served canapés for 150 guests at the prestigious Man Booker International shortlist in the Orangery, including grilled Mexican spiced tiger prawn in taco cones with pimento salsa, and vanilla roasted sweet potato, halloumi, crispy coconut and kaffir lime leaves. The following day, the team were in the Orangery serving canapés and bowl food for another 150 guests for French Lycée Charles de Gaulle. Bowl food included poached Scottish salmon with samphire and lemon cress salad, quail egg, keta caviar and ‘sauce verte’.
Following a peaceful weekend, the team catered for two events simultaneously on Tuesday, with cocktails and canapés for Cosmopolitan in the Orangery and dinner for 160 in the State Apartments for Marketing Society. These events formed part of Advertising Week, the World’s premier gathering of marketing and communications leaders.
The Marketing Society dinner menu featured a Spring inspired pea and mint mousse ‘garden’ starter, followed by Kentish lamb shank and leek cannelloni, with buttered spring vegetables and rosti. The guests then enjoyed one our our favourites, the “Snickers” dessert: salted caramel peanut butter slice, cocoa nib tuile, frosted nuts and milk ice cream.
