UPCOMING EXHIBITIONS

This month we visited the team at the Victoria & Albert Museum for a very special private viewing of Fabergé in London: Romance to Revolution, just one of the many exhibitions the Museum have in the pipeline for 2022 and beyond.

The Porter Gallery is also now open to Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature, exploring the life and inspiration of the iconic author. Then opening at the end of the March is Fashioning Masculinities: The Art of Menswear, looking at the industry from a new perspective, reflecting on gender and masculinity through the ages. Exhibitions within the Museum create a unique opportunity to combine venue hire with an exclusive private viewing, which you can then follow by a dinner or reception in one of the V&A’s iconic spaces.

CURIOUSER AND CURIOUSER…

Back in October we were delighted to work with Orange Events to create Wonderland at the Museum. Guests enjoyed a private viewing of the sold-out Alice exhibition before joining us in the Hinzte Sculpture Gallery for a candy-floss-topped Away in Wonderland cocktail and Alice themed canapés, including a Cheshire cat cheese soufflé.

After dinner we presented a themed station of bespoke dessert canapés, including some extra special illusion chocolate ‘carrots’ buried in edible soil. The evening concluded with dancing and delicious Salted Caramel Espresso Martinis served in multi-coloured teacups… “drink me” indeed.

NEWLY REFURBISHED

A truly special space, Raphael Court is vast and imposing, reminiscent of a chapel. In fact, it’s floor plan replicates that of the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican, for which the displayed Raphael Cartoons – on loan to the V&A from the Royal Collection by Her Majesty the Queen – were commissioned.

The recent refurbishment brought a series of meticulously considered changes, most noticeably painting the walls a dark luxurious blue and the gilding of the archway entrance in gold, reminiscent of the gold frames within which Rafael’s Cartoons sit.

In addition to being a fabulous home for Raphael’s Cartoons and a true highlight for visitors to the Museum during the day, Raphael Court is also a sensational setting for an evening dinner or reception. Entertain up to 400 guests in the presence of the greatest treasures of the Renaissance.
