It's never too soon to think about the Christmas Party!
We don’t mean to cause alarm but there has been a robbery…. we were all robbed of a fantastic Christmas Party last year! Whilst virtual events did their best to fill the gap, there is nothing quite like being in person, and after the past year we are all overdue a chance to let our hair down and enjoy a fabulous festive event with our colleagues. Do not fret; Moving Venue have a variety of ideal solutions to suit any style of Christmas Party and as today marks exactly 250 days until Christmas Day 2021, we would like to take the chance to tell you about some of our favourite options!
If you are looking for a show-stopping venue, then look no further than Landing Forty Two. The highest dedicated event space in the UK, the 300 standing guest capacity space is a London-centric location boasting spectacular views over the entire city and beyond! Situated on the 42nd floor of the Leadenhall Building (AKA The Cheese-grater), the venue is a complete blank canvas allowing for a huge variety of events ranging from intimate seated dinners to large scale Christmas parties. As exclusive catering partner, the dedicated Moving Venue team are always on hand to produce creative and bespoke menu options to fit any theme or styling ideas for the venue.
From a venue in the sky to one in the sea…(almost). Cutty Sark is one of London’s most unique venues as one of the last tea clippers to be built. She now plays host to many events throughout the year and is situated on the banks of the Thames in historical Royal Greenwich. Moving Venue have been an accredited supplier at the venue for many years and have the honour of being the dedicated caterer during the festive season. At Christmas, Greenwich comes alive with festivities and Cutty Sark herself lies at the centre with a fairy light Christmas Tree made from her towering sails. The venue can host up to 270 guests seated and 450 standing, Cutty Sark really is a fantastic choice for those clients looking for something a little more unusual and historic.
Speaking of historic, the Museum of London has some of the most interesting and important artefacts attributing to the capital, all which guests can explore as they make their way through the museum. Upon entering the main hall, guests will be wowed by the 360-degree digital ellipse which displays twinkling night lights with a swaying chandelier effect, or a fully customised display for maximum impact. For seated dinners up to 400 guests can enjoy a beautiful meal provided by Moving Venue.
Moving on to another museum; following over 20 years as accredited caterers at the Science Museum, Moving Venue were thrilled to be appointed the sole catering partner for the brand-new space – Illuminate – in 2019. This is the only dedicated event space in the Science Museum and boasts two floors allowing up to 450 guests to enjoy both beautiful standing receptions and dinners. The absolute show piece of Illuminate is undoubtedly the panoramic window looking out over the glistening Christmas lights of Harrods and the city beyond – feeling festive yet?!
Covent Garden is another iconic Christmas area in London, visited by many over the festive season. The Freemasons’ Hall is just a stone’s throw away and offers two brilliant venue spaces. The first, the Temple, is guaranteed to impress with its sheer scale and grandeur. Hosting up to 1,450 guests standing, or 350 seated, it makes an exceptional venue for your festive celebrations. Paying homage to the period setting, the art deco design will enhance the venue and be the perfect back drop for a fantastic party. The second event space within the Freemasons’ Hall is the Gallery. Transformed into ‘The Gatsby Club’ guests are transported to a 1920s speakeasy party. Holding up to 400 guests standing, or 250 seated, it is an exceptional venue for your festive celebrations. The venue is fully dressed for your event in a Gatsby-style theme and with a fantastic DJ and Jazz band, what better way to see in the start of the roaring twenties (mark two)?!
A brilliant band or the perfect DJ makes or breaks the Christmas party – and music plays a huge part in the celebration! With this in mind, where better to celebrate your company Christmas party than LSO St. Luke’s, the home of the London Symphony Orchestra? Nestled on the edge of the city in Shoreditch, LSO St. Luke’s is a highly versatile space with capacity for up to 425 guests, accommodating both dinners and standing receptions with catering expertly provided by the Moving Venue team.
