Moving Venue cater for the London & Partners Autumn Season event at the Science Museum

Last week, the Moving Venue team was delighted to cater for the London & Partners Autumn Season event at the Science Museum. The welcome reception was held in the Energy Hall, a striking and adaptable space perfect for receptions, before being invited through to the breathtaking Making of the Modern World. Here guests enjoyed further canapés alongside speeches by Lucy Worsley, Mayor of London Sadiq Khan who affirmed 'London is Open', and an amazing live drawing from Sir Quentin Blake of 'The multicultural Goddess of openness'.

The event unveiled an exciting programme of cultural exhibitions and events, many of which are taking place across venues within the Moving Venue portfolio, including London Fashion Weekend at the Saatchi Gallery, Twilight Tours at the Tower of London, Wonderlab: The Statoil Gallery at the Science Museum, Fire! Fire! at the Museum of London, Picasso Portraits at the National Portrait Gallery, South Africa: The Art of a Nation at the British Museum, You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-70 at the V&A and Beyond Caravaggio at the National Gallery.

Guests enjoyed cold canapés such as roast lamb with creamed leeks and deep-fried rosemary, roasted red onion and Granny Smith apple tartlet with blue cheese wafer and apple blossom, and grilled Mexican spiced tiger prawn in taco cones with pimento salsa. Hot canapés included Scrumpy braised pork belly skewers with a sweet mustard dip, filo ‘money bags’ filled with boursin mushrooms, and mussels with parsley and a parmesan sauce. For dessert, fresh flower terracotta pots were presented, containing chocolate and parfait pops.
